Hi! Everybody;

Well here we are again, we had our first Board meeting on January 9th at the Butcher Shop (remember all active paid members may attend). We had a lot to go over and it looks like we will have a busy year ahead of us. Be sure to check your newsletter, website: memphisbopclub.com and listen to the announcements on Friday nights. On that note; listen guys when someone is making an announcement let's keep it down so everyone can hear what is being said, thanks.

Thanks go out to Barbara Cooley for staying on as our ABA Representative, she is doing a great job; keep the good work going. Thanks a million to Larry Leatherwood for chairing the New Year's Eve dance; well done. At the January board meeting Larry reported that the club made $204.96 at the 2011 New Year's Eve dance.

Love is in the air, all who love to dance have fun remember to mark your calendar for our VALENTINE'S DANCE, Friday, February 10 at The Butcher Shop. Anyone who can help with decorating please be there at 5:00pm. On the down side we will not be having our Beale Street dance this year as we have had trouble finding a place big enough to hold us.

Mark your calendar Friday, April 6, 2012 (this is a tentative date) for our 25th Anniversary Party; Joe Hobbs will be the chairperson for this event. Joe can work miracles but he will need all our help to make this party something to remember. More information will be forth coming.

Old song new year, new faces will be at the door. Our new membership chairperson is Debi Whitt, say hello when you come in and ask her when you could help at the door. We are trying to set up 30 minute times for people to help and give Debi a break so she too can dance.

FYI: Members and their guest; if we have inclement weather you can check our website memphisbopclub.com or you will receive a phone call from a board member informing you if we will be dancing.
